"A NORTHWEST GIRL WITH AN EAST COAST HEART."
I’m Candice, a fast talking, people loving, outgoing introvert; a reckless dreamer, book connoisseur, avid coffee drinker, perpetual question asker, and novice baker.
The average American eats 66 apples a year, I imagine I eat at least 365, but most assuredly more; earning a well deserved designation of ‘Above Average’.
I have been around the world and proudly claim Tacoma as my home. I am a Northwest girl with an east coast heart, obsessing over all things Ivy League.
I am the proud wife of a dapper gentleman who can sport a bow tie with the best of them. He too, is above average at eating apples. Together we are The Hackett’s, faithfully supporting the apple industry and loving our community.
Most importantly, I am a sinner saved by grace and redeemed by love. I am passionately living life with purpose. My purpose is to love, inspire, and empower.
Hello. I'm Candice--storyteller for Ivy & Tweed. I live knee deep in plaid, & I’m head over heels for all things intrinsically American. Welcome!

“What really knocks me out is a book that, when you're all done reading it, you wish the author that wrote it was a terrific friend of yours and you could call him up on the phone whenever you felt like it. That doesn't happen much, though.”
